My Client is one of the leading multinationals with iconic brands within the FMCG sector and due to continued growth, are looking to recruit a National Account Manager- (Foodservices) to join the Business. My Client has several number 1 brands and operate across Food; Non-Food; Grocery and Health and Beauty. Due to a re-structure over the last 3 years; they have experienced double digit growth and with a recent acquisition; you will be joining the Business at an exciting time !

The role; the duties and why the company and opportunity:

The Commercial Director – who this role will report too- has been with the Company for over 15 years and she is a fantastic Director- calm; supportive and will give you the freedom to succeed in this role. She said ” I want someone who has initiative; can take the Foodservices area and run with it- The role will involve partnering with Wholesale Suppliers and targeting and building relationships with end users. Success is measured by driving growth with an emphasis on profitability and volume. To succeed in this role; you must be commercial; be resilient and have a collaborative approach- The company has been revitalised in the last couple of years with a a great atmosphere and culture so it is a super opportunity for a proven Foodservices NAM”

An attractive Remuneration package is on offer with benefits; bonus and to be considered for this position; you must have Foodservices experience at Head office level.

Key Responsibilities:

· Establishing and developing strong relationships with head office buyers and their wider teams

· Agreeing and delivering the annual JBP’s for your respective accounts, ensuring the delivery of sales and profitability targets and execution of strategic plans

· Working closely with field sales teams to ensure strong collaboration to deliver business growth agenda

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth and represent your retailer’s voice with internal stakeholders

· Working closely with the NPD team to develop the correct range & formats to deliver growth in the channel

· Monitoring and updating sales forecasts on internal systems

· Channel expert within the business keeping on top of latest market, customer and competitor dynamics

Skills and experience required:

· Minimum of 4- 5 years’ experience in managing head office relationships across national foodservice and wholesale accounts

· Experience of the contracting process within Foodservice

· Highly commercial with a strong track record of identifying and delivering on profitable business opportunities

· Collaborative in approach

· Experience of sales, forecasting and commercial analytics

· MS Office: Excel, Powerpoint

· Understanding of the role of digital with customers

· Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
