My Client is a leading company in it’s field and due to continued growth are looking for a professional Sales Administrator to join the team based in North Dublin ( close to M50 and walking distance from Dart). There are 24 people in the Business split between Dublin and Belfast ; with the majority of people based in the offices and warehouse in Dublin and although small in number they have a real advantage of being owned by a massive multinational who operate from Holland.

I met with the MD- who kindly gave me an hour of his time and he leads by example and that is reflected in the team- Both the Production Manager and Finance Director have been with the Business a long time and you will get work closely with the other Sales Administrator ( Ellen) who is extremely personable; very efficient and is highly thought off by the MD. This will initial be a contract role but strong possibility that it will turn in to a perm position.

For this role; he said the following ” Denis we very much work as a team and you must have a collaborative; team approach. This is reflected in our customer complaints and our service levels usual average around 98/99%. Ellen will give this person the right training and all that is required is a positive; conscientiousness approach and a willingness to learn. Also listening to customers; being pro- active and attention to detail is key to success. “

The office hours are 9am- 5pm – and everyone is gone by 5pm and if successful; you will be entitled to the end of year bonus. The targets are very achievable and you what is a good sign of the company, they provide training to their staff if /when required that helps them when working with customers. ( i.e Ellen went to Holland for a week’s training last year as she wanted to more informed on the products and it was all paid for by the company) and it is advantageous if you have SAGE experience but it is not a deal breaker but you must be strong on MS Word/Excel.

Main function: The Sales Administrator is responsible for effectively completing sales orders received via phone and email, converting them into manufacturing orders through implementing steps required for delivery of products. The successful candidates will consistently monitor all orders through the system as to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising quotations and purchase orders for customers
  • Processing sales orders, forwarding them to Production Department
  • Maintaining good customer relations, and a high level of customer service
  • Attain a high level of technical product knowledge to support sales and build credibility with customer base
  • Display prompt and effective organisation, planning and decision making
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

Key Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent/ Third level qualification
  • Demonstrate experience and prior knowledge in similar role,
  • Good level of computer literacy including use of Microsoft packages & CRM packages,
  • Ability to retain product knowledge to a high standard.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is essential
