My Client is a global, dynamic company, with a world-class team, dedicated to lead the amazing opportunity that is Solar energy and due to their growth; they are now looking to hire a Sales Director to join the Business.

Led by an inspirational CEO with a proven track record- this role will report to the CEO- my client has a clear strategy and business strategy and you will be provided with support but at the same time will be given the freedom to shape strategy; be responsible for budget management and be expected to identify opportunities and drive growth,

In terms of a Business; my client is a solar energy developer and has a vision to achieve the lowest cost of solar energy in the world, with a dynamic team in places that focuses on quality, value management, innovation and dedication to excellence.

Summary of the role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Commercial Director will be responsible for successfully leading PEG through the global commercial solar and renewable energy landscape. This involves managing our current activities whilst identifying new projects to develop.

  • Shape strategy and planning to implement the Board approved plan and lead a successful international market development team
  • Design and cost strategy in all key markets to drive solar installation
  • Identify and lead solar PV opportunities at various locations and stages of development and can oversee the contractual negotiations to close and deliver deals.
  • Hands-on management of development schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective projects.
  • Oversee all approvals and applications for full project permitting and grid connection. required for the purposes of obtaining Power Sale Agreements and Ready to Build status.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge on ongoing market pricing and technical conditions and trends with EPC contractors and Governmental and other key stakeholders.
  • Support other key team members to deliver their responsibilities and be fully responsible in driving and delivering on revenue targets and pipeline.

For this role; it would be highly advantageous if you have a background in the energy sector and you must have worked as a Commercial / Sales Manager.
